Healthy Recipe-Turkey Beef Taco Meat

One thing I learned when reading Jilian Michael's book Master your Metabolism – stay a way from processed food. In the past I always enjoyed the different spice mixes ready to go. Especially with fajitas and taco meat. So I started looking for a recipe that makes Taco meat from scratch , is low fat and still easy to cook .

Turkey Beef Taco

1. 8 oz Lean Ground Beef
2. 8 oz Turkey Ground Meat
3. ½ chopped onion
4. 1 small can diced tomatoe with green chili (or just petite diced tomatoes
5. ½ teaspoon cumin
6. 1 teaspoon chili powder
7. ½ teapoon dried oregano

Prep: chop onion; drain can of tomato; measure spices and mix in small bowl

Cooking:
1. Add meat and onion to a coated pan you don’t need oil and brown it. No need for oil.

2. Drain the tomatoes. Stir in the spices and tomatoes.Let it sit on low to medium heat until done.

We use the crispy standup taco’s, no fat cheese and no fat sour crème and some extra salsa.
Heat those up in the oven 6-8 minutes based on instructions.

Remember those times when you had heartburn or were so thirsty after eating mexican food. Not with these tacos.
